Honey Bees are some of the most interesting creatures on the planet.  When I (Ryan) started keeping bees in 2016, I was looking for a hobby and looking for livestock that did not require constant supervision and care.  I settled on honey bees and set out to learn everything I could about them.  What I did not realize is how much they would consume me.  They are absolutely fascinating and I am constantly learning something new from them or about them.

What We Offer

Our main product from the bees at the moment is Honey.  We will be offering spring wildflower honey as soon as it is available.  In the future we hope to offer nucs and queens for sale as well.  If you are in need of either a nuc or a queen do not let that stop you from contacting us though.  If we cannot help you out, we certainly know someone that can!

Education

If you are wanting to get in to bees or already have bees and do not know what to do I am here to help.  Feel free to shoot me a message and I will be happy to help you get things figured out.  I am also happy to provide hands on instruction at my apiary or yours, if I feel the fit is right.  Please keep in mind, I am no expert in beekeeping, I am merely a student.  That being said I find it very rewarding to help others get started in beekeeping so please feel free to reach out.

Swarms

Do you have a swarm of honey bees at your home or place of business?  Please put the spray away and give us a call at 540-908-0955.  We can help get them safely removed from your property.  If we cannot make it to remove them, we can connect you with another beekeeper who will.  Swarming is a natural behavior and the bees are generally fairly docile while swarming.  They mean you no harm and are just looking for a new home.

Are bees living in your home or building?  While we can do simple removals from structures, a lot of the more complex jobs will be passed on to those with more experience.  Give us a call and we will take a look at things and get you connected with someone to take care of the removal.

Areas we serve:  Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, Bridgewater, Dayton, Mt. Crawford, Singers Glen, Fulks Run, Broadway, Pleasant Valley, Hinton, Rawley Springs, Massanetta Springs, Keezletown, Clover Hill, Lilly, Briery Branch, Mt. Solon, Moscow, Burketown, Weyers Cave, Stokesville

Swarm Trapping

Not interested in keeping bees, but want to help a beekeeper?  Host a sarm trap!  In the spring when bees are swarming, we put swarm traps up to catch the swarms.  This benefits us, because we are not chasing loose swarms and it benefits you, because the bees go in to our boxes rather than your house.  While we call them “traps”  the bees are actually free to come and go as they please, but if they find our boxes favorable they will move in and treat it as their new home.  Interested in getting started swarm trapping?  Contact us today and we will be happy to share our knowledge with you.  We may even have some swarm traps available that we could sell you.
