Wildflowers

We are working hard to have a lot of wildflowers available to you this spring.  We have chosen annual and perennial wildflowers native or naturalized to our region.  Once we get things growing, we will have a list of available plants and where they can be purchased.

Why Native?

Our local ecosystems have adapted over time to operate like a well oiled machine.  The plants, the animals, the insects, all work together to sustain a complex web of life.  When you introduce something new in to that system it throws a kink in to the works and not only can it screw up the system, but it can destroy it entirely.  We try to offer native plants whenever we can.  Some plants we offer, while not native, are naturalized to our area, meaning they (and the system) have adapted to them being present.  We love some of the cool foreign plants just as much as anyone, and there is a time and a place for them, but when given the option, native is the only way to go.

Vegetables

We will be starting some vegetables from seed to have available for spring planting.  They will be planted in limited quantities though so make sure you grab yours early once they are available.

Edible Plants, Bushes & Trees

Perhaps one of the most rewarding experiences is standing in your yard and eating fruit from a tree you planted.  One of our goals for our property has been to make it as productive as possible in one way or another.  Whether it is producing food for us or food for the local wildlife, we want it to serve a purpose.  We are currently working hard to be able to provide you plants that will feed you for years to come.  We will update this website as soon as we have items available.
